Download application forms for the New Zealand Export Credit Office (NZECO)'s pre-credit guarantee and for general export (post-shipment) credit guarantees.

The application forms help the NZECO to assess your export deal’s eligibility for a NZECO guarantee. Select the form most appropriate for your deal.

We also recommend that you email the completed application form to the NZECO staff member responsible for your transaction.

Upon receipt of your application, a NZECO staff member will contact you to discuss your application and the proposed transaction. NZECO may require additional information to undertake their assessment.

If your buyer is a corporate then the NZECO will require additional information.


Additional Information for Corporate Buyer

If cover for commercial risk on a foreign company is applied for, then the NZECO will need to undertake a full credit assessment and will require the additional information:

1. Audited financial accounts (for the previous two years of trading PLUS the current year of trading), including:

- the balance sheets;

- profit and loss accounts;
- historical cashflow statements; and
- the notes associated with these statements.

2. A forecast of expected future cashflows for the next two years.

3. Information regarding any debt facilities already extended to buyers.

4. A credit report (for example from Dun & Bradstreet) that has been conducted within the last three months.

5. A brief outline of the buyer’s market.

This list is an indication of the basic information requirements. Further information may be also sought depending on the risk profile of the buyer and the country.
